The preface explains how the livestock of laying hens in the city - in the past opposed due to hygiene problems - now becomes a very useful tool that "responds to an eminently autarkic criteria". The editor proposes two different livestock methods: in "Fences on the terraces" and in "Cage" and also offers citizens a small selection of recipes with eggs.
